Payment Reconciliation Specialist

Duties:
Process all payments received on a daily basis from insurance companies and consumers accurately and timely in the billing system. Responsible for reconciling any discrepancies found in balancing at a batch level or at the end of business. Create any required refunds to insurance companies and consumers per evaluation and supporting documentation. Review all documentation for errors and research payments as necessary. Maintain and organize all pertinent back up information to substantiate payment postings as necessary. Responsible for reconciling month-end and Unapplied Cash account. Responsible for sliding scale analysis and documentation. Review and make calculations based on available data and enter findings into billing system. Employee will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED certificate. Minimum of five years in medical billing or three years in Medicaid, Medicare, third-party billing, and collections in behavioral healthcare experience. Strong experience in computerized billing systems, analytical skills, and both oral and written communication skills.
Hours:
Full Time; Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
