Duties:
Responsible for nursing oversight of a 25-bed psychiatric inpatient unit, including an IDD population. Includes overall planning, development, and clinical oversight for program. Evaluates Program performance. Provides direction, support and guidance to nursing staff, Mental Health Technicians, and Unit Clerks. Addresses concerns in a timely manner. Primary responsibilities include staff supervision, planning treatment programs, developing Program policies and procedures, assigning Program staff, ensuring that Programs are in line with both Legacy and Salem Medical Center values and philosophies, and ensuring regulations and contracts are followed. May perform additional duties as requested by Director/Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Registered Nurse licensure in State of New Jersey in good standing. At least five years’ psychiatric nursing experience required; at least two years’ management experience required.
