Duties:
Assists with the supervision of visits. Transports youths to and from visits. Develops effective intervention strategies for children with emotional and behavioral problems. Trains and motivates parents to provide effective care. Documents interventions used during visits and consumer’s responses to interventions. Maintain contact with DCP&P worker assigned to case. Has thorough knowledge of community resources, child development, family dynamics and psychological impact of abuse in trauma. Is able to support a family’s spiritual and cultural background and practices. Flexible, to include at least two evenings per week.
Therapeutic Supervised Visitation (TSV) provides therapeutic supervised and progressive visitation between birth parents and their children with the goal of family reunification.
Education/Experience:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree and two years’ relevant experience after High School.
