Duties:
The Food Service Worker prepares meals in accordance with the cyclic menus for the Mary A. Dobbins School and campus residents. Ensures portions are served in quantities as indicated on the menus. Bakes cakes, pies and specialty items. Assists in the general clean-up of the kitchen, dining room and storage areas, including refrigerated storage. Maintains cleanliness for all cooking utensils and associated equipment. Advises Food Service Manager of any irregularities with food preparation, availability of food items/supplies and failure of equipment. At times may work independently or with a resident worker. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the Food Service Manager. Accounts for receipt of food items, supplies and donations. Assists with special events. Secures all areas at the end of the shift. Must be available to work all scheduled shifts within the seven day schedule. Actively participates in ongoing quality improvement activities of Legacy Treatment Services, including but not limited to serving as a member of a quality improvement team, Consumer input, incident/accident and Consumer grievance review, peer record review and Program evaluation/quality improvement projects .Must be able to operate an Agency vehicle and maintain a valid driving record in good standing. Performs other duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor or Manager.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma preferred and some food service experience, or 3 years of food service experienced required.
Hours:
Position is Full Time with rotating hours. Must be able to work all scheduled shifts within the seven day schedule.
