Duties:
Provides assessment, treatment, psychoeducational and clinical services for the benefit of clients. Improves client well-being and functioning by conducting proper clinical assessment, developing, and conducting therapeutic interventions that address the findings of assessments, providing psychoeducation to clients and families, and consultation and coordination with allied professionals. Develops and implements comprehensive, individualized treatment plans based on assessment. Ensures proper implementation of the treatment plan. Conducts face-to-face clinical interventions which includes individual, group and family therapy as appropriate. Manages crises and reassesses clients as necessary. Serves as the lead during a crisis. Coordinates discharge and aftercare, including all necessary referrals to external providers. Works with the treatment family/direct care workers on issues of behavior management, crisis intervention, understanding the nature of client’s problems and ensuring the continuity of the placement. Provides psychoeducational materials and rationales for intervention to treatment team members. Leads clinical team. Participates in supervision, trainings, and professional development activities. Identifies client needs/problems from completion of the biopsychosocial assessment and/or NCFAS. Writes progress notes and other documents and takes responsibility for maintenance of the treatment record. Ensures compliance with Agency policies and procedures regarding work practices and expectations. Uses knowledge of professional ethics to inform clinical services. The individual demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the consumer population served.
Education/Experience:
MSW from an accredited school of social work or Master’s Degree in Counseling with at least two years of experience working with children/families/DCPP required. LSW/LAC required;
Hours:
Full time, some evening hours required.
